As you choose your photographer: pay attention to how their approach makes you feel. Do they make you feel comfortable, understood, and like you can truly be yourselves? If you’ve found that feeling here, I'd love to hear from you!
Your wedding is never just another day on my calendar. I intentionally take on a limited number of celebrations each year so that I can give each couple my full attention, creative energy, and care. When I commit to documenting your wedding, I want to be fully invested in you, your people, and the experience you have along the way.On the wedding day, I want to be a calming presence you can lean on. Someone who knows what’s coming, notices the little things, keeps you grounded when the day starts moving quickly, and helps you feel taken care of without adding to the noise. I’ll approach your day with the same thoughtfulness I would want for my own, and I’ll be in your corner from the very beginning until long after your photographs are delivered. Most of all, I want you to feel that your wedding mattered to me. Not just the photographs, but the people, the story, and the experience of being there.
I don’t want to feel like a stranger who showed up with a camera. I want to become part of your wedding day, to know your story, your people, and the relationships that make your life what it is. I want to know who your maid of honor is, hear the story behind how your grandparents were introduced, meet the people you’re most excited to celebrate with, and immerse myself in the day alongside you. The more I know the people behind the day, the more meaning I can bring to the photographs.I also believe that creating space for meaningful photographs starts with thoughtful planning. Part of my job is using the experience I’ve gained from photographing weddings to help build a timeline that gives your day room to breathe. Knowing how much time to allow for portraits, transitions, family photos, and all the little things that inevitably happen throughout a wedding day means we can create space for the photographs you’ve dreamed of without making the day feel rushed. When there’s room to breathe, there’s room for the unexpected moments that make your wedding feel alive.
I believe deeply in the importance of beautiful, intentional wedding portraits. The photographs of the two of you that will hang on your walls, live in your albums, and one day be looked back on by the generations that come after you. The photographs that show exactly what you looked like, who you were, and how you wanted to remember yourselves on this day. Those images matter immensely to me, and I believe you should have them. But I believe the photographs that happen around those portraits matter just as much. The tears, the laughter, the way your grandmother held your hand, your friends losing it on the dance floor, the quiet moment you shared when no one else was looking. These are the photographs that remind you not just of what your wedding looked like, but of what it actually felt like to be there.I never want creating those beautiful, intentional portraits to mean that your entire wedding day revolves around being photographed. There should be room for both: time to create the photographs you’ll treasure for generations, and plenty of time to forget about the camera entirely and be present for the people, emotions, and moments that make the day yours. To me, a wedding gallery isn’t complete without both.
